Chief Jay Curtman

Jay Curtman has been singing Southern Gospel Music for as long as he can remember. As a young child he learned that he had an ear for picking out old hymns and standards on the piano and soon afterward he developed an interest in the guitar. His major influences are Jake Hess, Gary McSpadden, The Cathedrals, The Happy Goodmans and many others.  Jay now writes and sings his own music.  Jay is not only a singer / songwriter but also a former youth director. Jay is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Curtman. Dr. Curtman is a pastor in St. Louis, Missouri.  Jay is married to Teresa Curtman who is also an accomplished pianist and singer, as well as a full time music teacher in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. 

Born in September of 1970 to Charles and Judy Curtman.


Attended Genesee Christian High School, Burton, MI - Graduated 1988.


Currently working on a Criminal Justice Administration Degree.


Married to Teresa Curtman with 2 boys, Brent (18) and Seth (8)
- Teresa is an accomplished musician and often records and performs with Jay.
